My daddy was an avid fisherman. Since I was daddy’s little girl, I spent many an hour with him while he fished on Loafers Bend at Lake Whitney, Texas. Even as a child I was always interested in the lures and flies that were in his tackle box.

          Recently, I came across a photograph of a classic salmon fly on the internet and the colors and details in these miniature works of art fascinated me. I wrote to the webmaster of the site and asked for permission to do a painting from the photograph and it opened a whole new world to me.

I have met so many wonderful and talented people who tie the classic Salmon flies and many of them have given me permission to do paintings from their photographs.
